Thank you so much for your continued encouragement, prayers, and financial support as we continue to push toward our goal of returning to Africa in December. We have bigger financial goals than we did last time due to a new baby, Nathan's health struggles and a more expensive cost of living in Kenya in comparison to Nigeria, but God keeps reminding us that nothing is too hard for Him. You have all been a part of how God continually provides for us and helps us grow in our trust of Him.

We are excited to share with you that we have found a potential medical solution to Nathan's continuous migraine of the past 14 months! For those of you who are not aware of the situation, when we came back from Nigeria for Heather's brother's wedding, Nathan got a sudden, terrible headache that has not stopped since the beginning of June 2022. It comes along with extreme light sensitivity and nausea and vertigo in response to sudden or bright light. It has been quite debilitating for Nathan, and we were not able to go back to Nigeria last school year as planned, mostly because access to specialists and IV medication (what ultimately helped Nathan the most) isn't readily available there. He has seen quite a few medical professionals including several specialists to try to find a solution. Nathan's neurologist told him that it was one, long migraine, and we just needed to find the right medication to stop it once. If they could stop the current headache, it would not likely come back again (other than normal migraines that many people experience). After 14 months, we still haven't found anything to stop the migraine.
We recently made contact with a Migraine Research Center in Dallas that specializes in a procedure which implants a device under his skin to send signals to his brain to get rid of the pain from his migraine. There is a trial procedure that will be done first that is temporary but accurately determines the impact of the full procedure. If that is successful, he can get the more permanent procedure done.

That procedure has a pretty significant cost, however, which we need to add to our total support package before heading out to Kenya. We currently have 26% of the financial support that we need to be in Kenya for a year, so we welcome any leads for groups of people who would like to hear us present about our new mission opportunity. These groups could be Sunday school groups, bible study groups, LWML groups, school chapels, or even personal social groups. We are open to any types of groups that we have not thought of already.
Jay has gotten so big! We have loved watching him grow and growing as parents. Here are a few pictures of our precious ray of sunshine!
Prayer Requests:
- that the trial procedure on August 21 will prove itself to be a solution for Nathan and that God would provide the finances for us to move forward with the procedure.
- that the process of obtaining Jay's passport would go smoothly and in a timely fashion.
- that our budget needs will be met so we can go to Kenya in early December, in time for us to join the mission school for the second trimester of the year.
- prayers of thanks for all of the financial support that we have received so far.
We are truly blessed to be in so many people's prayers during this process. Thank you so much for your continued prayers.

GLO now officially has a way that they can accept stock donations to our ministry support fund! Working through Thrivent, they can accept the stock, liquidate it and put all of the funds that come from that into our support account. Since you would be donating the stock to a not-for-profit corporation under section 501 c 3 of the Federal Tax code and not cashing out the stock yourself, you don't have to declare that stock as income or pay taxes on that donation at all.
