Nathan recovered from surgery very quickly. We were blessed to be able to drive up to Nebraska, only a few weeks after Nathan's procedure, to connect with some family and long-time friends and some new friends as well. We had the opportunity to speak with some students at a Lutheran High School about what it can look like to be a missionary. Unfortunately our trip was cut a little bit shorter than we had hoped due to sickness, but overall, it was a great trip. Huge thanks to everyone who hosted us up in Nebraska! We were blessed to get to spend time with you and limit our travel costs.
After our Nebraska trip, we have had a break from longer trips and have been able to reconnect with a few churches in our area of North Texas.
Since we had hoped to be heading to Kijabe in December, our extended family decided to celebrate Christmas early (the weekend before Thanksgiving) just so that our family unit could be there and celebrate with them. It was great to be together to celebrate Christ's birth!
We are now working on finding more people to share with. If you know of a church or group of people who might like to hear about our mission work, please let us know or share our contact information so that they can contact us themselves.

The more people we are able to share with, the sooner we will hit our goal and be able to head to Kenya. We're getting closer!

Thank you so much to those of you who were able to help by giving to our sending organization, Global Lutheran Outreach! The services that they are able to provide to us are not free, and they make a huge difference to us.
Here's some cute baby therapy. ;)
Prayer Requests:
- thanks that the final procedure on October 2 was so successful.
- that we would find more partners to meet with in the months before we head out in April.
- prayers of thanks that the process of obtaining Jay's passport went smoothly and in a timely fashion.
- that our budget needs will be met so we can go to Kenya in April, in time for us to join the mission school for the third trimester of the year.
- prayers of thanks for all of the financial support that we have received so far.
- prayers of thanks for all of the congregations and individuals who have invited us to speak with them already about our mission opportunity and welcomed us so warmly.
We are truly blessed to be in so many people's prayers during this process. Thank you so much for your continued prayers.

GLO now officially has a way that they can accept stock donations to our ministry support fund! Working through Thrivent, they can accept the stock, liquidate it and put all of the funds that come from that into our support account. Since you would be donating the stock to a not-for-profit corporation under section 501 c 3 of the Federal Tax code and not cashing out the stock yourself, you don't have to declare that stock as income or pay taxes on that donation at all.

If you are interested in donating this way, please email [email protected] to get further information on how to do it.
